Zuckerman Law principal Eric Bachman was named to the prestigious “Top Lawyers in America” list for 2020 by Best Lawyers in the field of Labor and Employment.
Best Lawyers®, the oldest and most respected guide to the legal profession, released the 2020 Edition of Washington D.C.’s Best Lawyers today. Lawyers named to the “Top Lawyers in America” list “were recognized by their peers in the legal industry for their professional excellence in 146 practice areas,” according to Best Lawyers. The process begins when lawyers are nominated for consideration. They are divided by geographic region and practice area, and are evaluated by their peers on the basis of professional expertise. Those who receive high peer reviews undergo an additional verification process before they are named to the list.
Before joining Zuckerman Law, where he is the Chair of the discrimination and retaliation practices, Bachman served in senior positions at the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC). His wins include a $100 million settlement in a Title VII employment discrimination class action, a $1.3 million jury verdict in an age discrimination case (tried with co-counsel), a record-setting Whistleblower Protection Act settlement at OSC, and a $16 million class action settlement against a major grocery chain.
Bachman writes for Forbes.com on employment discrimination issues. In addition to being named to Best Lawyers’ “Top Lawyers in America” list for 2020, Washingtonian magazine also selected Bachman as a “Top Lawyer” in Whistleblower Law, and the ABA Journal has honored his Glass Ceiling Discrimination Blog as one of the best legal blogs in the country.
Bachman holds extensive litigation experience, including numerous trials in federal and state courts, and has also set important precedent on employment discrimination issues at the appellate level.
